PAC DAO is building the world’s first on-chain Congressional scorecard. We call it PHAT CATS.
As an issue advocacy group, the Congressional scorecard is necessary for fairly and objectively apportioning funds at the conclusion of the legislative session. For example, a scorecard allows us to fundraise for specific Action Campaigns and heavily raise their score significantly if they complete certain actions.
To make this as fair and transparent as possible, we are deploying the entire scorecard on-chain. As we prepare to push we will update this article.
For the time being, we are crowdsourcing user votes to seed all Members of Congress with an initial rating based on community feedback. All votes must be conducted through a Web3 enabled browser using your wallet, but no transactions are required.
Ultimately, the DAO will have the final say over what scores get written in the initial deploy. The DAO is likely to simply accept the scores, but if something looks funny it may, for example, discount votes not addresses that do not have PAC DAO governance tokens.
For this stage of voting, all votes can between -5 (very anti crypto) to +5 (very plus crypto). Results are tallied on refresh, and you can update your vote at any time. After voting you may be given the option to leave a comment about this representative (ie a link to an article or video, or just to jeer). Potentially they could be published on the candidate’s page.
More details will emerge as we move towards our on-chain deployment, and this page will be updated with new developments.
