PHATCAT Week 1
Results just over one week into our PHAT CAT auction/mint event:
19 total seats have been minted out of 535 total
Of 17 total rares, 9 (52%) have been minted, 8 via auction and 1 via random mint.
We’ve currently raised >2 ETH towards the #FreeAlex movement.
Senator Elizabeth Warren ranks among the most hostile towards cryptocurrency, while also holding the record for highest value raise in auction:
The 2 ETH raised could drop going forward, as some volume of this includes refundable amounts from auction runners up. Nonetheless, some auctions have become increasingly competitive.
Should positive word of mouth spread about the project, the early participants may find they got a good deal.
In total, there have been 78 interactions with the contract. The auction has been the most popular feature — 50 of these interactions were auction bids. However, with over half of the rares minted, this may prove a less popular going forward.
The mechanic to mint a random pack has only had pickup from 13 of these transactions in contrast — 3 of these were paid mints, while 10 were from users who redeemed a free mint coupon (thus far offered to holders of the PAC DAO Founder Token and v1 PAC DAO Governance Token).
Possible Takeaways
None of the free mints have been claimed in over a week, so it may be an opportunity to rotate the eligible token to another ERC-20 or ERC-721 token to get more attention on the project.
With fewer rares available, few users paying for a random pack, and a price tag above the average auction closing price, it may become reasonable to drop the mint price to encourage more mints for the remaining “common” seats.
